How ChoreTown works
ChoreTown is a web app that turns your family's chores into a shared board kids actually use: set it up once, and every finished chore earns stars, builds streaks, and grows each child's own little town. Here is the whole flow, start to finish.
Set up your family in about five minutes
Create your account with Google or an email and password, add your kids, and pick how rewards should work for your family. Kids don't need email addresses or their own accounts: you add them by name, and they use the shared family board.
Add chores from templates, set them to repeat
Start from a library of common chores organized by age, or write your own. Any chore can repeat daily, on certain weekdays, weekly, monthly, or every few days, and can be assigned to one child, several children, or dropped into a shared "up for grabs" pool that anyone can claim for bonus stars.
Kids check off their own work on the family board
Open ChoreTown on a tablet or phone and add it to the home screen: it becomes an always-on family board. Kids tap their own chores done. You choose the trust level: on the honor system, stars land instantly; with parent approval on, finished chores wait for your okay first. You can set this per family or per child, and change it anytime.
Consistency earns more than stars
Stars buy the rewards you define: perks and privileges, or a physical prize box. Some rewards can't be bought at all: streak rewards unlock only by showing up day after day (with a built-in grace day so one busy afternoon doesn't wipe out a good run). And as each child stays consistent, their own little town grows on the Town tab, a picture of their progress that is never lost and never taken away.
You stay as involved as you like
The parent dashboard shows what's done, what's waiting for approval, streaks, history, and each child's progress. Invite a partner, co-parent, or caregiver to help manage things. As habits stick, you can graduate a chore so the app steps back, because the goal is a kid who no longer needs it.
